Episode 28: The ROC Executive Director on priorities for 2021–22
As 2021 comes to a close, we talk to the ROC’s Executive Director, Chris Enright, about the latest compliance issues involving registered organisations and office-holders as well as the ROC’s priorities for the year ahead.
The ROC has received multiple complaints and conducted inquiries and investigations into the expenditure of organisations’ funds and the misuse of credit cards by officials and employees of registered organisations. Chris discusses examples of behaviours of concern, and some of the strategies registered organisations can use to protect themselves against financial misconduct. It’s a timely reminder for senior leaders and executive office-holders to review the financial practices and governance of their organisations.
