Officer and related party (ORP) disclosure statement online panel discussion: 22 July 2020
The Registered Organisations Commission hosted an online panel discussion about the officer and related party (ORP) disclosure statement on Wednesday 22 July. We were delighted to have over 70 people engage with us for the discussion, with representation from unions, employer organisations and auditors.
Participant feedback was very positive. 100% of survey respondents said they would attend another online event hosted by the Registered Organisations Commission.
"Having recently taken responsibility for compliance within our union I found this session very informative"
The panel was made up of subject matter experts from the ROC, who responded to technical questions submitted by attendees about how to complete a compliant ORP statement. We also discussed a hypothetical example of a registered organisation and its ORP statement, to demonstrate the types of payments and benefits that need to be disclosed.

You can download the ORPs template, guidance note and checklists referred to in this panel discussion from the resources page of our website.
