The ROC has today released updated versions of its two guidance notes concerning the disclosure obligations of officers, and the disclosure obligations of organisations and branches, under the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009.
The updates come as a result of extensive engagement with our stakeholders including the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU).
In particular, the updates include additional examples to assist organisations in their understanding of how the provisions operate, and clarification concerning organisations’ obligations to disclose the most highly remunerated officers in the Officer and Related Party Disclosure Statement.
In November, the ROC also released an updated version of its guidance note concerning corrupting benefits offences under the Fair Work Act 2009. Again, the changes made to the guidance note reflected feedback from our stakeholders, including the ACTU.
The ROC thanks the ACTU and all of our participating stakeholders for their productive engagement, suggestions and feedback to date, and looks forward to ongoing engagement in 2019.
